Graham & Dunn is not your typical commercial law firm. Our history stretches back more than a century, yet we are new and different. Graham & Dunn’s motto is “Big Law Firm Experience Without the Big Law Firm Experience,” which means that our clients receive outstanding, world-class legal advice from accomplished and experienced attorneys, in a refreshingly original setting unburdened by either the costs or the outmoded customs of more “traditional” law practices.
We are one of the nation’s first full-service law firms to organize and operate through integrated industry teams. We have replaced the conventional law firm structure, where attorneys are grouped by the type of law they practice, with teams organized to address the specific needs of the industries they serve. Each “industry team” at Graham & Dunn includes an array of both litigation and transactional practitioners grouped together for one reason: because knowledge of our clients’ industry allows us to provide the best service at the best value. We still provide the litigation and transactional expertise that the traditional model was built upon, but our industry focus allows us to do it more creatively, efficiently and effectively.
This new and different approach to law practice is reflected in our unique location on Seattle’s waterfront at Pier 70. We’re not in a downtown high-rise like most commercial law firms, because we’ve found a better place. We work among open spaces lit by 2-story tall windows framed in century old timbers, directly over Elliott Bay and fronting the brand new Olympic Sculpture Park. We work hard for our clients, but in an atmosphere that is casual and collegial. “The Pier” is not only different--it’s unique.
Our experience and industry expertise involves Graham & Dunn attorneys in transactions and litigation locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Our clients vary from Fortune 100 corporations to local emerging companies, and most everything in between. Every one of those clients is important to us, and we are committed to being personally accessible and responsive to all--something that has unfortunately become rare in the “mega-firm” era.
