Born in Nairobi, Kenya and raised in Canada, Ghalib has lived in Seattle since 2007.
Prior to his law school career, Ghalib started and ran his own business for 6 years and has worked in hotels across the world.
During law school, Ghalib was part of Seattle University School of Law’s Street Law Program, teaching students at Ballard High School.
In his last semester of law school, Ghalib was an international law clerk and advocate at the Non-Governmental Organization, Kituo Cha Sheria: The Centre for Legal Empowerment in Nairobi. Ghalib had valuable firsthand exposure to issues facing marginalized Kenyans, generally in the area of land disputes, agriculture, and business transactions.
